The King Hussain Mosque stands in the Dabouq district of western Amman, Jordan. Sources describe it as the largest mosque in the country, with a recorded capacity of about 5,500 worshippers. It sits at an elevation of 1,013 metres above sea level, overlooking Amman and the mountains of Wadi as-Sir, and can be seen from most parts of the city. The building has a square plan, four minarets and a marble floor. Visitors reach it through the King Hussein Gardens on King Abdullah II Street, near the King Hussein Medical City. The mosque grounds also house the Prophet's Museum, which displays relics attributed to the Prophet Muhammad.
