The Ertuğrul Gazi Mosque stands in the centre of Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. It is named after Ertuğrul Gazi, the father of Osman I, who founded the Ottoman Empire. The mosque follows Ottoman architectural models and was designed by Hilmi Şenalp. It has four minarets and a capacity of 5,000 people, and it is described as the largest mosque in the city. It is also known as the Azadi Mosque. It is located on Döwletmämed Azady Street in the Berkararlyk district.
