Islam-aga's Mosque stands in the Medijana area of Niš, Serbia, on General Milojko Lešjanin Street. It is also known as the Hadrović Mosque. Our records date its construction to 1870 and describe it as an example of Ottoman architecture. Of the roughly twenty mosques that existed in the city during the Ottoman period, it is the only one that remains in use for worship today. The building holds the status of a Monument of Culture in Serbia and has been under state protection since 1954.

According to the record, the mosque was built in 1870. Niš had around twenty mosques in the Ottoman period, and this is the only one that has survived as a functioning place of prayer. It was declared a cultural monument of great importance in 1954 and has been protected by the Serbian state since then.

De Wikipedia

Islam-aga Mosque (Serbian: Ислам-агина џамија, romanized: Islam-agina džamija) is the only functioningmosque in Niš, Serbia. There is another mosque in Niš Fortress which has been converted into a gallery, and another close to the University Rectorate that was damaged during the Anglo-American bombing of the city in 1944.

It was built in 1720 and reconstructed in 1870. Of the twenty mosques in Niš during Ottoman rule, it is the only one that remains in use. It was torched in an arson attack in 2004, and reconstructed in 2013.
