Masjid Bencoolen is a congregational mosque on Bencoolen Street, between Rochor and Bras Basah in Singapore. It is also known as the Bengkali Mosque and the Hanafi Mosque. The present building dates from a reconstruction completed in 2004 and is integrated with the Somerset Bencoolen hotel, which is owned by Ascott International, a subsidiary of CapitaLand. The mosque also serves as the headquarters of the Tablighi Jama'at, an Islamic missionary group. Our records give its capacity as about 1,100 worshippers.
