mosquée de Tokyo

Tokyo Camii is located in the Shibuya ward of Japan's capital, near Yoyogi-Uehara station. It was built in the Ottoman architectural tradition and operates together with a Turkish cultural centre, which is reflected in its full name, Tokyo Camii and Turkish Culture Center. It is also known as Tokyo Mosque and, at times, as the Yoyogi Mosque. According to the source material, it is called a "camii" (congregational mosque) because Friday prayers are customarily held there. Its architect was Hilmi Şenalp.

According to the record, the mosque was completed in 2000. It was commissioned by the Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı (Presidency of Religious Affairs) and designed by the architect Hilmi Şenalp.
