Djamaa al-Djedid, also called the New Mosque, is an Ottoman-period mosque in the historic Casbah of Algiers, close to Martyrs' Square (Bab al-Bahr). It is counted among the oldest mosques of the Algerian capital. The building follows the plan of a three-aisled basilica and is made of stone, marble, brick and plaster. Its design combines Byzantine features with Moorish-Maghrebi elements, most visibly in the minaret. The central dome rises 24 metres on a drum supported by four columns and four pendentives, and four octagonal domes occupy the corners. An inscription is placed above the mihrab. The mosque lies within the Casbah of Algiers, which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

According to the sources, the mosque was built in 1660 under Ottoman rule, in the time of Dey Mustafa Pasha. The Arabic source names Hadj Habib as the architect. Although most Muslims in North Africa followed the Maliki school, the mosque served the Hanafi school throughout the Ottoman period.

During the French colonial era it was also known as the Mosquée de la Pêcherie, a name linked to its proximity to the coast and the fishing harbour.
