The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is a Friday mosque in Sohar, in the governorate of Al Batinah North, Oman. It is named in honour of Qaboos bin Said, the previous Sultan of Oman. The building follows an Uzbek architectural style and is compared to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque. It is noted for its decorative inscriptions and its crystal dome. The mosque stands near Bayt Bahjat al-Anzar, on the main road leading towards Dubai, and its address is Masha'el an Noor Street. It is described as one of the more recent large mosques in the Gulf region.
