The Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque stands on Khalifa Bin Zayed Street in the Al Mutaredh area of Al Ain, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It is also called the Al Ain Grand Mosque, the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Grand Mosque, or simply the Sheikh Khalifa Mosque. It is described as the largest mosque in Al Ain and one of the largest in the United Arab Emirates. The building is marked by four tall minarets, and its large dome carries inscriptions and Quranic verses. An Arabic source places it in central Al Ain, beside the United Arab Emirates University building. The mosque is named after Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of the UAE.
