The Church of the Acheiropoietos stands in the centre of Thessaloniki, Greece, on Agias Sofias Street opposite Makedonomachon Square. Dedicated to Mary, it is a three-aisled basilica with a timber roof and is among the few early Byzantine church buildings to have survived almost in its original form. It is also recorded under the Turkish name Eskicuma Camii, and its architectural style is listed as both Byzantine and Ottoman. The building is an official archaeological site and forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage property covering the early Christian and Byzantine monuments of Thessaloniki.
