The Hamza Bey Mosque is a former mosque on Egnatia Street in Thessaloniki, in the Central Macedonia region of Greece. Dating from the Ottoman period, the building belongs to the Islamic and Ottoman architectural tradition and is registered as an official archaeological site. A cinema operated in the building for decades, and as a result modern Thessalonians commonly know it as the Alkazar. It is no longer used as a mosque.

According to our records, the mosque was built in 1460 under Ottoman rule. It was abandoned in the 1820s. In later years a cinema operated on the premises for decades, and the building came to be known by the cinema's name, Alkazar.

The Hamza Bey Mosque (Greek: Αλκαζάρ Θεσσαλονίκης, Turkish: Hamza Bey Camii) is a former mosque in Thessaloniki, in the Central Macedonia region of Greece.
Built between 1467-1468, during the Ottoman era, the mosque was abandoned in the 1820s. Modern Thessalonians commonly know it as Alkazar, after a cinema that operated in the premises for decades.
