The Ivanovo Cathedral Mosque stands in Ivanovo, the administrative centre of Ivanovo Oblast in Russia, and is described as the city's only mosque. It was built to an individual design and has two separate prayer halls, one for men and one for women. A 16-sided dome is its main decorative feature, and the building is designed to hold 650 worshippers. Plans were made for a Muslim community centre and a school with a 120-place dormitory around the mosque courtyard. Tair Abdulbareevich Sayfutdinov has served as imam-khatib since 1999.
